Cam Smith: 'I’d like to make a decision for myself and the Melbourne Storm'

Cameron Smith says three weeks off through injury has him feeling 'fresh' ahead of his return to footy and the big decision that awaits him at season's end.

The Storm captain made his return from a shoulder injury against Manly at Sunshine Coast Stadium today.

"I’d like to make a decision as soon as I can but there are a lot of things I still need to think about," Smith said.

"I guess being on the sidelines in the last few weeks it hasn’t made it any easier, it’s made it harder, to be honest.

"I feel good, I feel fresh from the three weeks off.

"But I’d like to make a decision for myself and the Melbourne Storm moving forward."

“I’ve got a nice tan now, it’s been great," Smith said of his time on the Sunshine Coast.

"We’d love to be back in Melbourne with all of our friends and family back there and particularly with our staff back there doing it tough.

"This is where we’re at at the moment and we’re trying to make the most of it."
