Melbourne Storm and RedZed extend partnership

Melbourne Storm today welcomed the commitment of RedZed Lending Solutions who have agreed to extend their partnership with the club.

The announcement will see the partnership lengthened until the end of the 2022 NRL season after Storm announced the signing of RedZed as their new Major Partner in February this year.

Storm CEO Dave Donaghy said the commitment from RedZed was welcome news for the club and its members.

“This season has been a challenging one for everyone. We know our members and fans have been affected by the impact of COVID and our football club more broadly has had to make some significant changes over the last six months,” Donaghy said.

“RedZed have shown great belief in our football club at a time where there is still a lot of uncertainty.

“This is not only belief in our football team but also in our people – our staff, coaches, members and fans.

“As a partner, RedZed are a perfect fit for Storm. We have shared values and common goals to help our people through what is a very challenging period.”

RedZed initially signed a two-year partnership to occupy the front of jersey with Storm. This partnership was to end at the completion of the 2021 season but will now see RedZed committed to the Storm family until the end of 2022.

RedZed Managing Director Evan Dwyer said while COVID-19 had presented its challenges, the partnership with Storm had been one of alignment.

“Seeing the way Melbourne Storm looked after their people and their members in the crisis demonstrated their values are closely aligned with the values of RedZed,” Dwyer said.

“RedZed was founded on respect for relationships.  We knew as we entered into our partnership with the Storm, that we were working with highly professional, compassionate and committed people. 

“Watching them respond to the crisis this year just confirmed what we knew.

“Knowing that we could provide the broader Storm family some certainty in these challenging times we had no hesitation extending our relationship until at least the end of the 2022 season.

“My Nanna used to say when the going gets tough the tough get going.  The going certainly got tough this year so there was no doubt it was time to get going and provide our support.”
