Storm loses Smith to fractured jaw

Melbourne Storm hooker/forward Brandon Smith could miss the rest of the NRL home and away rounds after suffering a fractured jaw in the loss against Parramatta last night.

The Kiwi representative had scans on the Sunshine Coast today which confirmed the fracture and has been booked in for surgery tomorrow.

He will be sidelined for four to six weeks.

Stand-in skipper Kenny Bromwich has a calf injury which will receive further assessment today, while five-eighth Ryley Jacks, who has a bruised hip, is also in doubt for the round 16 home game against Manly.
