Locked in, Kaufusi opts for 2021

Melbourne Storm premiership player and Origin star Felise Kaufusi has taken up the option to extend his contract with the club for season 2021.

The 27-year-old is an integral part of the Melbourne Storm NRL side and has been a constant in the top 17 since his debut in 2014.

One of three brothers to play NRL for Melbourne, Kaufusi has represented the Storm 112 times and became a premiership player in the club’s 2017 grand final win. The second-rower has scored 21 tries for Melbourne during his NRL career and is part of the club’s Emerging Leaders group.

He debuted for Queensland in 2018 and has since played six matches for the Maroons.

Among the best second rowers in the competition, Kaufusi has also represented Tonga and Australia in a number of test matches.

Off the field, Felise exemplifies Melbourne Storm’s club values and the club is delighted to have him on board until at least the end of the 2021 season.
