World-class international coaches descend on Storm

Melbourne Storm hosted some of the best coaching minds from Australia and around the globe at the club this week.

Head coaches from Super Rugby triple premiership winners, Crusaders, and reigning champions of English Premiership Rugby, Saracens, joined counterparts from AFL, Cricket and A-League teams for a coach sharing forum at Storm offices on Monday.

Saracens Rugby Head Coach Mark McCall, Head of Performance Phil Morrow and Crusaders Rugby Head Coach Scott Robinson spent the week with the Storm football department, including time with Bellamy’s team in the coaches box when we played the Titans last week.

Sydney Kings coach Will Weaver was also a guest of Football General Manager, Frank Ponissi on the sidelines during the match.

Robertson has won the past three Super Rugby championships, while Saracens are defending European Cup champions and have won five of the past 10 English premierships under McCall.

Always looking to stay ahead of the pack, Storm coaches embark on annual discovery tours across the globe and have established a wide network of sporting clubs who are willing to share their experiences.

Storm has also become a high-performance destination for national and international sporting teams all interested to learn from those who have made the Club the most successful in the last 20 years.
