Josh Addo-Carr knows his life story can make a difference.

The Melbourne Storm and New South Wales winger has become one of the faces of the NRL since he moved to Melbourne for the 2017 season with his speed, his tries and his big smile his trademarks.

But before the 23-year-old was an NRL star, he was a teenager in Redfern on the path towards a criminal life until a night in jail for breaching bail took away his first chance at professional rugby league with South Sydney and forced him to change his life.
