Thunderbolts were commanding in the first half and led 26-14 at the main break.

“It was good to dust off the cobwebs after 13 weeks of training,” head coach Ben Jack said.

“The boys really ripped in.”

This was the first hit-out for the U20s with the game used for final squad selection.

The U20s Thunderbolts will play a final trial against Wests Tigers on Saturday March 2 in Sydney, prior to the Jersey Flegg competition kicking off on Friday March 22.

They will take on the Canberra Raiders in Canberra in round two, following a comp bye in round one.
