Ryley Jacks came to Melbourne in search of an opportunity and now leaves two years later having made the most of it.

The reliable halfback provided a steadying hand this season when the team needed it.

A shaky 2-3 start to the season was steadied when Jacks was given the No.7 jersey in Round 6. From that point Storm won six of its next eight games to get the season back on track.

Fierce competition for spots ultimately edged the 26-year-old out of the starting 17 but in a testament to his team-first mentality he continued to work hard at feeder level during the back end of the season.

Jacks will now depart Melbourne however does so having lived and breathed the Storm values every day since walking into the Club.
