Earl comeback continues with Falcons win

Sandor Earl scored his first try in five years as Sunshine Coast outlasted Wynnum Manly to win 18-6.

Earl continued his stunning comeback from ACL surgery in November to score his first try since his last NRL appearance back in Round 23, 2013.

It was a milestone moment for the winger who has worked incredibly hard to fast track his return to the top level.

"All the boys are really happy for him after all he has been through and how he buys into our organisation," Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigtsen said

"He is a credit to himself and a credit to Storm down there. It was fantastic to see him score."

Justin Olam scored the Falcons' first of the day in the 23rd minute while 22-year-old Lachlan Timm was outstanding in leading the pack up the middle.

"Lachy Timm was head and shoulders above everyone, he was terrific for us," Ingebrigtsen said.

"He was up here and the difference is polar opposite to where he is now. I am happy for him, I am happy for Melbourne because they've got a good one there."
