Not since Round 2, 2009 have Storm been defeated by the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

It is a nine-year, seven-game run the men from Melbourne will be looking to continue when they venture north this Friday night.

Both teams are locked at 3-3 in the win-loss column after indifferent starts to the season. This Round 7 clash shapes as a crucial one as the two sides look to arrest some momentum to kick start their season.

The Broncos will be riding high on confidence having handed the Warriors their first loss of the season in New Zealand last weekend.

With Jack Bird partnering Anthony Milford in the halves, Wayne Bennett’s men looked back to the strong side of recent seasons.

“They have a lot of power all over the park,” Felise Kaufusi said.

“They’ve got Milford, Darius Boyd up the back and some fast men on the edges. We’d need to be on our game to get the win.

“It is important to get momentum to get the ball rolling. It is a game we always look forward to and there is always a big crowd.

“We always get a lot of support up there so we are definitely looking forward to it.”
