Four tries, three losses.

Four words that have Melbourne Storm believing it is far from the doom and gloom certain pundits would have you believe.

It each defeat so far this season, the men in purple have only allowed a total of four tries combined.

Storm have the fourth best defence in the competition after the opening five rounds.

Now if the team can start to take care of the football, the performances will start to click into gear.

“Our effort has been fantastic the last few weeks in particular,” Tim Glasby said.

“Our defence has been really pleasing. In the three games we’ve lost, we’ve had a total of four tries scored against us which is promising.

“If we can bring that effort in our defence and fix that completion rate we will be putting ourselves in good stead.

“We know what is going wrong with our game which is really good.

“At least we can pinpoint a real spot to fix up and we can work on that, that is a real positive. We’ve got some positives to take and some things to work on so we will keep doing that.”

Storm take on the Newcastle Knights this Friday from 6pm at AAMI Park. All kids will be given FREE entry to the game with the purchase of every adult ticket.
