A second half fightback has seen the Sunshine Coast Falcons claim their first win of the 2018 Intrust Super Cup season against the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls.

Trailing 22-10 with less than 20 minutes to go, the Falcons persevered to score the final two tries of the game before Kurt Aldridge kicked a 78th minute field goal to claim the points.

Prop Lachlan Timm led the way up the middle for the visitors while Storm youngster Harry Grant was named best afield for his outstanding performance at hooker.

“Harry was exceptional, he was as Man of the Match and our Players’ Player,” Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigtsen said.

“He did a really good job for us for a young fella, he is relishing playing the No.9 role for the Falcons and we are loving having him.”
