Storm fall short in home opener

1’ We’re underway at AAMI Park!

3' A willing start to the contest! The Tigers are very aggressive early

4' Wests Tigers paddle the ball on the last looking after a high bomb from Brooks. We scramble and hold them out though

7' A great run by Dale Finucane draws the penalty. Quick tap by Slater earns some quality metres. Big chance here

9' We are piling the pressure on with several sets on the Tigers’ line. A clever Brodie Croft chip kick forces the goal line drop out but once again the Tigers defence stands tall to keep us out

14' Benji Marshall kicks it in to touch to give his side a breather. Score remains 0-0

23' Kenny Bromwich comes onto the field for his 100th appearance in the purple jersey!

26' End to end action here at AAMI Park! No score but a great contest taking shape!

32’ Penalty to the Tigers. They get a set of six on our 30m line. Suli ends the threat though by collecting a grubber kick

35’ Try? No Try? Cameron Munster grounds the ball but we are going to the NRL Bunker… No try is the call, Tigers got first hands on the ball in the in-goal.

37’ The Tigers get a penalty and they will take the kick. Esan Marsters converts and they take a 2-nil lead

40’ Another penalty to the Tigers right on the hooter, another conversion by Esan Marsters

41' Captain Smith leads us back out for the second half. Here we go boys!

46' Will Chambers makes a break down the right! Our attack is shut down though when the Munster kick is cut off

51' Wests Tigers let us off the hook with a knock on in attack. We then reciprocate, losing possession on half way

55' Break in play with Kevin Naiqama being helped from the field after a tackle

56' Our try line under threat again and the Tigers get a penalty. They opt to kick for the two points once again and extend their lead to 6-0

58' We regain the ball from the kick-off!! Stimmo on the charge! We move it left and create the overlap but The Foxx knocks on after the Slater pass

63' Penalty for a high shot on NAS. Then Smith catches the Tigers offside and Matulino gets sent off! We have the numerical advantage and a fresh set

64' It doesn't take long! Suli scores! A trademark effort by our Fijian Flyer who takes flight down the right corner

65' Smith misses the conversion. We trail 4-6

67' Another penalty and Smith will kick for the two points to try and level the scores. He makes it count this time! 6-6

71' ANOTHER penalty! Dale earns it right in front and we'll kick for the lead! Smith makes it count

73' Suli regains the ball from the kick-off!! And what a run to go with it. Gets us out of trouble!

74' So close - an incredible move started by Slater and finished by JAC but it's called forward by the referee

75' It's all happening at AAMI Park. The Tigers throw it around everywhere. Then Suli knocks on. We need to muscle up in defence now

78' Luke Brooks scores for the Tigers. The visitors now lead 10-8
