Injury troubles restricted Leuluai for much of the season however he was able to make an impact early.

The 21-year-old was rewarded for a solid pre-season with a Round 2 Storm debut against the Warriors in New Zealand. His other game was in Round 4 against Wests Tigers, with Melbourne again coming away with the win.

Leuluai came off the bench in both games and showcased his power running ability, breaking a tackle in each outing while averaging nearly nine metres each time he carried the ball.

After getting an early taste of NRL action, the young prop played out the remainder of the season with the Falcons in the Queensland Cup.

Injury hindered him late in the year but with another full pre-season the coaching staff will be hoping Leuluai’s development will reach new heights next year.
