After a best afield performance in his 350th game, natural the calls for Cameron Smith to push on and reach 400 have started to increase.

The durable 34-year-old has average 25 games per year across his 15 seasons in the purple jersey.

That would mean the 400th milestone could be a possibility in 2019.

Smith has a current contract until the end of next season however with the way he is currently performing, it would be a brave man to bet against the future immortal adding another year to an already remarkable career.

“I've heard a couple of people talk about the 400 mark but for me I am just focused on this season at the moment,” Smith said.

“I have got another season to run here in Melbourne so touch wood I can stay healthy and play as many games as I can. If I am able to reach 400 then that is great.

“If I could get to 400 that would be quite special, I am not going to lie to you, that would be nice to achieve but that is quite a long way away. 

“At the moment it is not something I am looking at or am trying to achieve. I am just focused on playing the very best we can this season for the Club and give this team the very best opportunity to do the very best we can this year.”
