Sunshine Coast overcame a slow start to record a 36-16 runaway win over the Ipswich Jets.

With scores locked at one try apiece at half-time, the Falcons piled on five tries to two in the second forty minutes.

Joe Stimson led the way in his first game back at feeder level, scoring the first try of the game.

“It is great to have Stimmo playing with us, especially after he has played a bit of NRL,” Falcons coach Craig Indgebrigsten said.

“I think it is a testament to his character the way he came back and just fitted into the side seamlessly, he just did his job.

“He has been an outstanding member of the Falcons for the last two years. We are all really proud of him that he is in the mix for the NRL side every week.”

The Falcons host the Northern Pride this Sunday at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
