Easts Tigers kept in touch with the Intrust Super Cup top four courtesy of a last gasp win over Northern Pride.

After scoring their first three tries of the game, Easts raced out to an 18-0 lead however their lead was slowly reeled in.

They stayed in the game though and snatched the points with a match-winning try in the 77th minute.

Storm props Dean Britt and Mark Nicholls were the key difference makers.

“We had Britty starting at lock and Nicko up front, so our middle was very strong,” Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

“They dominated Northern Pride… everything they did they had intent so it was very good.

“That is the best games I’ve seen Dean Britt play for Easts Tigers, he was outstanding. Him and Nicko dominated so it was good to see.”

Easts Tigers 32 (Billy Walters 2, Jake Foster, Shane Neumann, Linc Port, Jarrod McInally tries; Adam Crear 4 goals) def Northern Pride 28 (Darryn Schonig, Khan Ahwang, Keelan White, Gideon Gela-Mosby, Troy Kapea tries; Khan Ahwang 4 goals) at Barlow Park.
