Joe Stimson is relishing every minute of his time in first grade.

The 21-year-old is averaging just under 30 minutes a game during his debut season and knows the more time he is spending in the midst of the action, the better

“I’m really enjoying my time in first grade, I am just relishing every opportunity I can get to go out there and play with the boys,” Stimson said.

“I’m gradually getting used to it, I am only on there for a couple of minutes so I am just trying to do as much as I can in such a short space of time.

“You can’t really think about it too much, you just go out there and try to do your job as best you can.

“As a back rower it is just running good lines and getting my timing right really. If I do that hopefully I can stay in the side.”

Stimson is preparing to line up for Storm against the Knights tonight. Kick-off is at 6pm at AAMI Park.

We return to AAMI Park on June 2. Watch us take on the Knights!
