It has been a very good week for Joe Stimson.

An NRL debut and a new contract all in the space of four days has seen years of hard work pay off for Stimson.

Having to choose which moment was better, it is a pretty easy answer for the boy from Temora.

“Definitely being able to get a debut, I’ve dreamed about that for a long time.

“To have Craig ask me into his office to tell me was a bit surreal and to run out with the boys for the first time was something that I would never forget.

“I am also very excited to have another two years at the Storm, I love the Club and hopefully I can go for a few more years.”

Be there for our first home game of 2017 at AAMI Park against the Broncos in Round 3!

Stimson ran for 51 metres and made 10 tackles in 25 minutes of playing time against the Warriors on Friday night.

Now he is on the cusp of making his home debut in front of the purple faithful at AAMI Park.

It would be yet another memorable moment to cap off an unforgettable week.

“If I am lucky enough to play, I would love the chance to play on AAMI Park in front of a pack home stadium,” Stimson said.

“I think all the Melbourne fans will be pretty keen to run out and support us so hopefully I get the chance to run out and do them proud.”
