Melbourne Storm’s feeder clubs Sunshine Coast Falcons and Easts Tigers played out a 7-all draw on the opening weekend of Intrust Super Cup action.

Nothing could separate the two teams in a low-scoring game that saw 12 Storm players take part in warm conditions.

The Falcons hit the lead in the 25th minute through Matthew Soper-Lawler before Jack Svendsen hit back for he visitors shortly after half-time.

Storm youngster Brodie Croft edged Easts ahead, slotting a field goal with six minutes to play.

Croft’s opposite number Guy Hamilton hit back for Sunshine Coast though, leveling the scores with a field goal of his own in the 77th minute.

That ensured both Club’s would walk away from the opening weekend of Intrust Super Cup action with a point apiece.

SUNSHINE COAST FALCONS 7 (Matthew Soper-Lawler try; Sean Yorston goal; Guy Hamilton field goal) drew with EASTS TIGERS 7 (Jack Svendsen try; Billy Walters goal; Tommy Butterfield field goal) at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
