One thing Melbourne Storm showed last weekend was that there are plenty of boys willing and able to find the try line.

Nine different players found the try line at the Auckland Nines as a young and exciting Storm team impressed their way to the semi-finals.

One player who found his way onto the try sheet was forward Tim Glasby.

The ever-improving prop was one of Melbourne’s most experienced players in last week’s pre-season tournament and went away from the weekend thrilled with the attacking capability the team will have at its disposal this season.

“We do a lot of hard work on the little parts of our game and to have those fast guys out there finishing it off,” Glasby said.

“People like Josh, Young or Curtis or whoever ends up out there (on the wing), they are all different to Marika but they all offer really good parts of their game to add some strike.

“It will be exciting to see how that goes.”

Melbourne will play the first of its two pre-season trial matches on the Sunshine Coast this weekend against the New Zealand Warriors.
