This young Falcons side enjoyed a breakout season, reaching the finals for the first time since 2010.

They began the year by winning three of their first four games before a form slump followed as the Falcons recorded just two wins in their next seven games.

They regrouped though and went on a run of five consecutive wins to finish fifth and book a place in the finals.

Sunshine Coast proved to be the success story of the Queensland Cup finals, recording upset wins over the PNG Hunters and Townsville Blackhawks.

Their campaign ultimately ended with a Preliminary final defeat to Redcliffe Dolphins.

Mark Nicholls performed very well throughout the season for the Falcons while Joe Stimson was the standout.

Stimson was awarded for his stellar form by being named Storm’s inaugural Feeder Player of the Year.
