Dale Finucane played every game of the 2016 season, remarkable when you consider the grueling nature of the position that he plays.

The 25-year-old has built a reputation as one of the toughest players in the NRL and his performances this year only amplified that.

Finucane ranked second at the Club and 10th in the entire competition for tackles, averaging 34 per game.

He battled through an ankle injury during the finals series, rising to the occasion when his team needed him most.

Finucane was also named in the Country side for the City v Country representative game with several pundits believing that he is a State of Origin player in waiting.

The powerful lock reached two milestones this season, playing his 100th NRL game against the Eels in Round 11 and his 50th game for Storm in the Grand Final.
