Back to back blockbusters at home to end the season has Storm well prepared heading into this year’s finals series.

Both games against the Broncos and Sharks attracted a crowd of more than 20,000 to AAMI Park.

The atmosphere was electric and no doubt serves as the perfect prelude to Saturday night’s home Qualifying final against the Cowboys.

“Last week it was kind of like finals because it was a packed stadium,” Kevin Proctor said.

“The whole of Melbourne got behind us, the AFL wasn’t on and I think that is the same this week.

“Hopefully all the Melburnians can come down to the game and help us try and get over the line."

Proctor and the Storm right edge will have their hands full against a dangerous North Queensland attack.

However it is a challenge the Kiwi international is looking forward to accepting head on.

“It should be good, especially against the Cowboys, they are a tough opponent,” Proctor said.

“Last time they played down here they got us in a major prelim so it is a little bit more incentive this weekend and hopefully we will be turning up.

“Their forwards are very damaging through the middle, if we shut down their forwards it gives us every chance on the edges to shut down their plays.”
