They may not find themselves in their customary place near the top of the NRL ladder however Sydney still present a formidable prospect.

With a squad that boasts a host of Origin and International stars, the Roosters will arrive at AAMI Park confident of causing an upset.

They matched the Sharks for much of the contest and were perhaps unlucky not to walk away with the points.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Roosters, Saturday 23 July, 7:30pm.

Trent Robinson’s side will also have memories of the 46-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of Melbourne just six weeks ago.

“You have a look at their team and you wonder why they are where they are,” Storm coach Craig Bellamy said.

“They’ve got a current State of Origin player on the bench (Aiden Guerra) and Sam Moa is a current Kiwi player on the bench as well.

“They are a strong team, they played pretty strongly for a fair part of the game on Monday night.”

With just a six-day turnaround Storm have not had long to digest Sunday’s win up in Newcastle.

The feeling after the 20-16 win on the weekend was one of more relief than anything else and the coach knows his charges will need to be much better if they are to walk out of AAMI Park with the points on Saturday.

“We were lucky to get away with it but having said that our boys have been pretty consistent all year so I’m not going to be too hard on them but we will need to improve this week,” Bellamy said.

“We haven’t worried too much about our opposition this week.

“We’ve had a short turnaround, they’ve had a short turnaround so we are just trying to get ourselves improving in the areas from last week and hopefully we can perform well on Saturday night.”
