Sunshine Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigtson struggled to find the positives in his side’s 20-6 loss to Ipswich Jets last Saturday.
The Falcons struggled to ever get going on the back of a poor completion rate that hovered around the 50% mark for much of the game.
The Jets scored their first after 13 minutes and proceeded to control the game for the remainder of the day, running in a further three tries.
Felise Kaufusi added a consolation try for the home side on 78 minutes but it counted for little on a disappointing afternoon.
“It is the first time I’ve been disappointed with us this year,” Ingebrigtson said.
“Our footy on the weekend was well below the standard we will except from the Falcons in 2016.
“I thought our attack was really poor. A completion rate of 50% is just not good enough at this level and won’t be accepted.
“I am certainly looking for some improved effort from individuals this week.”
The Falcons will look to regroup before hosting Norths Devils at Sunshine Coast Stadium this Sunday.
