Storm may be suffering significant injuries to their outside back but the Club will not be rushed into a mid-season signing.

Will Chambers and Jeremy Hawkins were the latest edge players to be sidelined during the week.

Injuries are never a welcome sight for any club but Storm hopes the challenge can create an opportunity for other members of the squad.

“Obviously there is an opportunity there to try a couple of our young blokes… hopefully they can make the best of it and we can see what we can do,” Craig Bellamy said.

“It is not an ideal situation for us but we will get through it.

“Everyone goes through their injury troubles as some stage. This will probably have to be one of the worst ones I’ve seen in our outside backs.”

It is not all bad news though with Cheyse Blair set to make his return this week with Easts Tigers.

While the options out side may be limited the temptation is there to go out and add another player to the squad. However Bellamy admits that is not quite as simple as it sounds.

“Obviously we’d like to just to give us some more numbers but it is not that easy to be quite honest,” Bellamy said.

“Other clubs don’t want to give up players in case they go through the same thing, they want depth as well.

“We’d like to get someone in but it’s not that easy.”

Storm travel to Leichhardt Oval this Sunday to take on Wests Tigers at 4pm.
