Storm’s preparations for season 2016 resumed today with coaches and players returning from the Christmas and New Year break.

The entire playing group assembled at AAMI Park on Monday morning, resuming their regular pre-season schedule which included testing, skills and conditioning after a two week break.

Skipper Cameron Smith lead the way with New Zealand Internationals Jesse Bromwich, Kevin Proctor and Tohu Harris all returning for the first time since their tour of England with the New Zealand Kiwis.

Melbourne have just 32 days until their first hit out of the 2016 pre-season, kicking-off on February 6 and 7 with the league’s annual Auckland Nines competition held at Eden Park. The following two weekends in February will then be filled with trial matches against Wests Tigers on the Sunshine Coast (February 13) and the Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground in Sydney (February 20).

Storm’s 2016 NRL season opener will be played against St. George Illawarra at AAMI Park on Monday 7 March from 7pm.
