Melbourne Storm has further strengthened its coaching ranks, with the appointment of Aaron Bellamy as development coach.

Bellamy, 29, will work with Marc Brentnall as one of the Club’s two development coaches for 2016. His role will be involved with the senior playing list, specifically working with the younger members of Melbourne’s squad who are making the step up from the Club’s U20s system.

He will also work closely with Storm’s feeder teams Brisbane Easts and Sunshine Coast Falcons and members of the Club’s NRL squad just outside the top 17 each week, viewing their games whilst setting targets and goals with the view to getting them back playing NRL football.

Bellamy has been employed at the Club since 2012 as Video Analyst working closely with the coaching and high performance staff, recording, cutting and analysing training, game and opposition footage.

Storm was the first NRL club to establish the role of a development coach with Adam O’Brien, now an assistant coach, the first person to undertake the position in 2012.

Storm announced in October its Football staff for the 2016 season.
