Matt Duffie made his anticipated return to first-grade football in 2015, closing out his six year stint with Melbourne in style.

The high flying 25-year old made his return following a prolonged two year absence, which saw the New Zealand international undergo a shoulder reconstruction while also suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear.

A string of solid performances for Storm’s feeder team Easts Tigers in 2015 culminated in a return to first-grade football against the Dragons in Round 20.

From that point onwards, Duffie was a staple in Craig Bellamy’s starting side, scoring 4 tries in 7 games, featuring in every game in the lead up to the club’s run to a home Preliminary Final.
