Following his 300th NRL game and Melbourne Storm's victory over the Panthers on Friday night, Cameron Smith penned this letter to Storm members and fans which was emailed to them on Saturday morning.

Hi guys,

Thank you to all the Melbourne Storm members and fans who came out to support the team last night against Penrith.

I particularly appreciated the support I received last night and during the week for my 300th NRL game.
It was a special occasion for myself and my family and I am very grateful for the support that’s been shown to me during my 13 years at the Club. I’m very proud to have achieved this milestone at the one Club and at Melbourne Storm.

What made the night even more memorable was playing my 300th at AAMI Park in front of our home crowd – I’ve always said we have the best members and fans in the league and last night was no different.

I’m proud of the way the team played last night, the boys worked hard during the week to rebound after the Warriors loss and it was certainly great to get back on the winners list.

As I said during my media conference on Tuesday, I’ve had the time of my life at this Club, thank you for being part of it.

Go Storm!

Cameron Smith
