Melbourne Storm forward Jordan McLean has been ruled out of the Club’s clash tomorrow against the Newcastle Knights.

The 22-year old pulled up tight in his right hamstring following the team’s win against Wests Tigers on Monday night.

McLean was one of a number of Storm players who didn’t train on Wednesday and needed to get through the team’s last training session this afternoon to be cleared to play.

Medical staff were concerned McLean would be unlikely to get through tomorrow’s match without injuring his hamstring if he was to play. McLean’s replacement will be named an hour before kick-off.

McLean will be assessed during the coming week before a decision is made on his availability to play against Cronulla Sharks on 16 August at AAMI Park.
