Melbourne Storm can confirm prop Mitch Garbutt will depart the Club at the end of the season to join Brisbane Broncos on a two-year deal.

The Newcastle junior joined the Club in 2012 and made his first grade debut the following season. The 25-year old has played six NRL games this season, taking his career tally to nine matches.

Garbutt returns to the field to play for Storm’s feeder team Brisbane Easts this weekend, after a knee injury suffered in Round 13 has kept him sidelined.

Mitch will remain focused and committed to finishing 2014 off strongly with Storm.

The Club wishes Mitch all the best with his move at the end of the season.

Be at AAMI Park in Round 19 when Storm host the Raiders this Saturday, 5:30pm.
