Assistant Coach Justin Morgan discusses this weekend's match-up with the Roosters plus how Storm will cover the loss of Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk.

Morgan explained Storm would work on their fresh combinations on the training track this week with the absence of regular first-graders allowing others to step up and take on extra responsibility.

"We have to adapt," Morgan said.

"We knew there would be games that they would possibly be missing due to injury or Origin duty.

"We have to get our heads down. It gives the opportunity for some other players to get their spot in the team.

"If we train well and get some cohesion on the training paddock I'm sure we can transfer that to game day."
