Storm Coach Craig Bellamy says staff will assess the fitness of Storm’s representative players before Saturday night’s meeting with North Queensland.

Melbourne will have four players involved in tonight’s State of Origin series opener while centre Will Chambers has spent the week in camp with Queensland as 18th man.

“If they all come through unscathed, we would expect them to play,” Bellamy said.

“We say it every year, you’re really not sure who’s going to be in that side on Saturday night.

“Players are training in positions they don’t really know but we just expect them to do their best at training.”
