Cameron Smith and Billy Slater have been named in Melbourne's squad for Sunday's final trial match before the 2014 season.

Storm will face the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium at 5pm (local time) and welcome back a number of the club's senior players into the 22-man squad.

Ben Hampton and Ben Roberts will partner up in the crucial halves positions while youngster Young Tonumaipea has earned selection on the wing following strong performances in the club's opening trial at AAMI Park and last weekend's Nines tournament.

13 players from Melbourne's travelling party who competed in the Auckland Nines at Eden Park will back up and take the field against Canterbury as Craig Bellamy's side finalise their preparations for the upcoming season.

For the remainder of the playing group, Melbourne will take on the club's Queensland Cup feeder team Easts Tigers in a trial match at Langlands Park on Saturday, kicking off from 7pm (local time).
