About Storm Academy
The connection between fostering homegrown players and a Clubs overall success is undeniable and since Melbourne Storm’s inception in 1997, the Club have produced four Victorian players.
Inspired by the early days of the Storm’s history when the Club held a strong reputation within the NRL-run Under-20s competition of successfully growing and developing its own players, the Storm Academy was born.
With the vision to protect the future of Melbourne Storm by developing players in Melbourne to create long-term success, both on and off the field, the Academy looks to provide a clear pathway for elite junior players to develop through the Storm system, with the end goal to graduate into the NRL Squad.
By providing resources, opportunities and education, the Academy prospects will learn what it takes, in all aspects, to become a first-grade player with Melbourne Storm.
