Jersey Flegg Report: Round 19

Melbourne Storm’s Jersey Flegg side fell short against the Cronulla Sharks in Round 19, going down 36-12 at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Sharks were quick out of the gate, scoring the first two tries of the game before Storm secured their first through Kobi Floro in the 15th minute.

The visitors capitalised on a shift in momentum, scoring another 3 tries before halftime to leave Storm with a big job to do in the second stanza.

A much-improved effort from Storm ensued after the break, both sides trading just a single try each in the second half as Victory Isaako scored late in the 78th minute.

Despite showing some improvement, Storm were unable to close the gap and the Sharks held on for the victory.

Melbourne Storm’s Jersey Flegg side will now turn their attention to a Round 20 clash against the Roosters in Sydney.
