Melbourne Storm forward Ativalu Lisati has been nominated for the Ken Stephen Medal and selected in the NRL’s 2026 Community Team of the Year.

Since joining Melbourne Storm in 2024, Ativalu Lisati has become one of the Club's most dedicated and selfless community contributors.
While he consistently fulfils all Club commitments, he is equally committed to giving his own time to causes that matter to him.
A proud Samoan man, Ativalu is a passionate ambassador for Storm Waka, Melbourne Storm's Māori and Pasifika youth engagement program. Funded by the Victorian Government, the program helps young people strengthen their cultural identity while developing leadership skills and overcoming social challenges.
Ativalu regularly mentors participants, sharing his experiences and providing guidance both on and off the field. His genuine engagement has made him a respected role model within the program.
He also plays a key role in Storm in Your Club and Storm in Your School, where he is known for creating meaningful connections with participants. Whether visiting grassroots clubs, schools or community groups, Ativalu always takes the time to ensure every interaction is personal and memorable.
His commitment extends to supporting children and families facing health challenges through regular hospital and Starlight Room visits, where his warmth and generosity leave a lasting impact on young patients and their families.
Beyond his Club commitments, Ativalu has also built a strong personal connection with Giant Steps Melbourne, supporting autistic children and young people with complex communication and behavioural needs.
