Oryn Keeley joins Storm with immediate effect

Melbourne Storm is pleased to confirm second-rower Oryn Keeley will join the Club with immediate effect after being granted an early release from his contract with the Dolphins.

Already signed with Storm for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, Keeley will link up with Craig Bellamy's squad following the Club’s Round 18 bye.

A Central Coast junior, Keeley developed through the Newcastle Knights pathway after playing his early rugby league with the Northern Lakes Warriors and The Entrance Tigers. He progressed through Newcastle’s Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Jersey Flegg teams before making his NRL debut for the Knights in 2022.

After joining the Dolphins in 2024, Keeley enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign, making 16 NRL appearances and scoring four tries.

Director of Football Frank Ponissi said the Club was thrilled to welcome Keeley to Melbourne ahead of schedule.

“We’re delighted to have Oryn joining our Club following our Round 18 bye,” Ponissi said.

“He’s a quality young player and having him arrive earlier than expected is a great outcome for both the Club and Oryn.

“We thank the Dolphins for working with us to facilitate his early release and look forward to welcoming Oryn and his partner Cloe to Melbourne.”

Oryn Keeley will join Melbourne Storm ahead of the Club’s Round 19 game against the Gold Coast Titans at AAMI Park.
