Melbourne Storm is proud to announce the Club’s annual Starlight Round at AAMI Park raised a record-breaking $100,257 for The Starlight Children’s Foundation.
This year marked a significant milestone, celebrating ten consecutive years of partnership between Melbourne Storm and Starlight. Over the past decade, Storm has proudly supported more than 9,000 children and their families. The $100,257 raised in 2026 will help brighten the lives of a further 2,500 seriously ill children and their families.
Throughout Starlight Round, volunteers collected donations while fans participated in a variety of fundraising initiatives. New for 2026 was the Storm-A-Thon, which ran throughout game day and contributed significantly to the fundraising total. Branded as Starlight Under the Stars, supporters lit up the night with Starlight wands, creating a spectacular pre-game atmosphere.
Off the field, Starlight families enjoyed a range of unforgettable experiences, including taking part in the guard of honour, coin toss, sideline viewing and running onto the field as junior mascots.
In the lead up to game day, Storm players including Josh King, Tyran Wishart, Eli Katoa, Jack Hetherington, Siulagi Tuimalatu-Brown, Marion Seve, Ativalu Lisati, Staley Huen and Hugo Peel, alongside male and female pathway players, visited children and families in the Starlight Express Room at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children's Hospital.
Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski expressed his delight following Saturday’s Starlight Round at AAMI Park.
“We’re incredibly proud to have raised a record-breaking $100,257 for The Starlight Children’s Foundation. This huge amount showcases the amazing generosity of our members, fans and partners, and their commitment to supporting Starlight children and their families.
“To reach this fundraising total in the 10th year of our partnership with Starlight is something very special. Seeing AAMI Park light up with Starlight wands on Saturday night was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when our Club community comes together for such an important cause.
We thank everyone for their fantastic support and look forward to continuing our partnership with Starlight into 2027 and for many years to come.”
Melbourne Storm would like to thank Solar Battery Group, RedZed, Grill’d, Cointree and all the individual donors for their generous support of Starlight Round in 2026.
