NSW Cup Report: Round 11

Melbourne Storm’s NSW Cup side were defeated 46-4 by the New Zealand Warriors at North Sydney Oval in Round 11.

The Warriors made a fast start, crossing early to establish momentum and continuing to build pressure throughout the opening half, allowing them to take a commanding 24-0 lead into halftime.

The home side maintained its intensity after the break, adding further tries as Storm worked hard to contain the Warriors’ attacking momentum.

Despite the challenging contest, Melbourne finally found some joy late in the match when Joseph Litidamu received a pass from Manaia Waitere and crossed in the 76th minute for Storm’s lone try.

While the result did not go Melbourne’s way, they will look to regroup and respond in next week’s fixture against the Bulldogs as the NSW Cup campaign continues.
