Jersey Flegg Report: Round 10

Melbourne Storm’s Jersey Flegg side were unable to overcome the Wests Tigers in Round 10, going down 28-20 at Gosch’s Paddock.

The Tigers opened the scoring early before Victory Isaako crossed in the 15th minute to put Storm on the board. The visitors regained momentum late in the half to take a 14-6 lead into the break.

The Tigers continued to build pressure early in the second half, extending their advantage despite Melbourne continuing to fight their way back into the contest.

Talas Abell crossed in the 54th minute to spark Storm’s comeback hopes before Keaton Stutt scored two quick back-to-back tries late in the match to reduce the margin. Victory Isaako added another conversion as Melbourne pushed for a late turnaround.

Despite their strong finish, Storm were unable to close the gap as the Tigers held on for the 28-20 victory.

Melbourne Storm’s Jersey Flegg side will now enjoy a bye for Round 11, next weekend, before returning to action in Round 12.
