NSW Cup Report: Round 7

Melbourne Storm’s NSW Cup side were defeated 48-12 by the Canberra Raiders, with the home side producing a strong opening half to secure the win.

The Raiders came out fast and crossed for six first half tries, leaving Storm trailing 36-0 at the halftime break.

Melbourne responded with energy in the second half and were rewarded when Davy Moale crossed in the 59th minute and winger Declan Casey added another in the 66th minute.

Despite their best efforts, Storm were unable to close the gap as Canberra added further tries late into the second half.

Storm’s NSW Cup side will now turn their focus to their Round 8 battle against the Rabbitohs at home on Friday at 4pm.
