Junior Female Report: Finals Week 2

Lisa Fiaola Cup (U17)

Melbourne Storm’s Lisa Fiaola side have finished their finals campaign following a 44-6 defeat to the Bulldogs in Week 2 of Finals.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the opening minute before Storm responded through Makerita Seinafolava, who crossed in the 14th minute. Ocean Kaiwai-Rangikauhata added the conversion to narrow the margin and keep Melbourne in the contest.

The Bulldogs were able to build momentum late in the first half with a series of tries, sending Storm into the break trailing 22-6.

The home team continued to capitalise on their opportunities in the second half, doubling their tally to run away with the 44-6 win.

Despite their finals run coming to an end, the Club’s 2026 Lisa Fiaola campaign will go down as a significant season in the Club’s history.

In their inaugural season, the U17s squad reached the second week of finals while also showing strong development across the campaign.
