Melbourne Storm will proudly celebrate Cultural Diversity Week 2026 (21-29 March), recognising the many cultures that shape the Club’s identity both on and off the field.
Cultural Diversity Week is Victoria’s premier multicultural celebration, aligning this year with the NRL’s Multicultural Round to create a powerful period of recognition across the game.
Last week, Melbourne Storm launched its Multicultural Warm-Up Tee, which was worn by the playing group ahead of their Round 3 clash with the Brisbane Broncos. The design symbolises unity, pride and the diverse backgrounds that make up the Storm family.
Throughout the week ahead, a range of activities will bring staff and players together to celebrate culture and connection. Highlights include a whole-club smoking ceremony, a cultural food exchange where staff and players can share dishes from their heritage, and a club-wide photo celebrating cultural attire and colours.
Additional initiatives such as a cultural gift exchange and opportunities for open conversation will further encourage storytelling, learning and inclusion across the Club.
The celebrations will also include community activations involving Storm’s Pathways programs, reinforcing the importance of diversity at all levels of the game.
Cultural Diversity Week provides an important opportunity to reflect on the role diversity plays in strengthening both the Club and the wider community. It’s a time to celebrate traditions, share experiences and continue building an environment where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging.
