Melbourne Storm’s female U17 and U19 teams battled against the Cronulla Sharks at home in Round 6, with the Lisa Fiaola side producing a dominant performance while the Tarsha Gale side faced a tough contest.
Lisa Fiaola Cup (U17)
A standout performance from Heather Nasilai has helped Melbourne’s U17 side delivered an outstanding performance, defeating the Sharks in a 48-0 shut-out victory.
Melbourne set the tone early on with Heather Nasilai crossing the line in the third minute before Caroline Loloheg added another soon after.
Heather Nsailai continued her strong start, scoring her second try of the match in the 18th minute, helping Storm build their momentum. Anaviela Weatherby and Halo Matthews both crossed the line before half time, adding to the hosts lead and giving Storm a 28-0 lead going into the break.
Wasting little time in the second half, Heather Nasilai secured her hat-trick with yet another four-pointer while Halo Matthews and Anaviela Weatherby both grabbed their second tries of the match.
Ocean Kaiwai-Rangikauhata once again proved reliable with the boot, converting 6 tries.
Heather Nasilai finished off a dominant performance with her fourth try late in the piece to seal the exceptional 48-0 victory.

Tarsha Gale Cup (U19)
Melbourne’s U19 side faced a strong Shark outfit in Round 6, going down 46-6 at Seabrook Reserve.
Cronulla applied early pressure to build their lead, causing Melbourne to trail 18-6 at half time. Sierra Tao crossed in the 25th minute to score Melbourne’s lone try of the afternoon before converting her own try.
The Sharks maintained their offensive efforts in the second half, adding more tries to extend their lead despite Melbourne’s efforts to catch up.
