Melbourne Storm is proud to unveil its 2026 Multicultural Warm Up Tee, a design celebrating unity, strength and cultural pride within the Storm family.
The special tee will be worn by players during warm up in Round 3 as part of NRL Multicultural Round.
Designed by Joseph Masi of Studio 11X, this year’s design centres around the ocean, with the water representing how it connects us all. It captures the idea that while we may be separated by land, we remain united through the moana.
Flowing design through the tee, with the ocean symbolising the Niho Taniwha, representing strength and the ancestral pathways of those who have come before us, allowing our playing group to proudly wear the Storm jersey.
The sleeve pattern reflects the diverse cultural communities within the club, symbolising the shared goal of connecting with teammates to rise and succeed together as one.
The colour choice of half purple and half brown represents dual identity and balance. Purple reflects the Storm and what we stand for as a team, while brown represents our roots, the rich cultures, traditions and values that shape who we are as individuals and players.
Behind the brown section sits a textured pattern inspired by Ngatu (Tongan), Siapo (Samoan) and Masi (Fijian), traditional cultural mats that symbolise respect, royalty and generosity.
These elements honour the heritage of our players while representing the team’s gift of gratitude to fans from all walks of life. Cultural motifs flowing through the middle and bottom of the tee mirror designs often found on these fine mats.
Together, these elements represent the heart of the Storm community, strength in identity, pride in heritage and unity through shared purpose. It is a celebration of culture, connection and the powerful bonds that bring the Storm family together.
The 2026 Melbourne Storm Multicultural Tee is now available for purchase from the Storm Store.
