Storm and Hostplus extend iconic partnership

Melbourne Storm is delighted to announce Hostplus has extended its long-standing partnership with the Club through to the end of the 2028 NRL season, continuing one of the most enduring and successful partnerships in Australian sport.

The new agreement covers the 2026, 2027 and 2028 seasons and will take the partnership between Melbourne Storm and Hostplus to a remarkable 23 years.

The Hostplus extension follows the recent re-signing of Head Coach Craig Bellamy, who has committed to the Club until the end of the 2028 season, further aligning the two organisations through a shared commitment to long-term performance and stability.

Since 2006, Hostplus has proudly supported Bellamy and his coaching staff as the Club’s Coach’s Partner, during an era defined by sustained success, consistency and strong leadership.

Since the partnership began, Melbourne Storm has enjoyed unprecedented on-field success, while Hostplus has grown into one of Australia’s leading superannuation funds, built on strong long-term performance and retirement outcomes for its members.

Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski said the extension reflected the strong alignment between the two organisations as the partnership enters another exciting chapter.

“Hostplus has been an incredible partner of Melbourne Storm for more than two decades, and this extension through to 2028 speaks volumes about the strength and longevity of our relationship,” Rodski said.

“Hostplus has supported our Club through some of our greatest moments, and their long-standing commitment as Coach’s Partner makes this announcement even more special following Craig’s coaching extension.

“We’re proud to continue working alongside Hostplus as we head into another exciting chapter for our Club in 2026 and thank them for their loyal and ongoing support of Melbourne Storm.”

Hostplus Chief Member Officer Umberto Mecchi said the partnership with Melbourne Storm has been built on shared values and a genuine commitment to supporting members.

“We’re pleased to be extending our long-standing partnership with the Melbourne Storm,” Mr Mecchi said.

“For more than 20 years, we’ve seen firsthand how the Club’s culture of consistency, hard work and resilience has driven sustained success. These are qualities we value at Hostplus and that have underpinned our own long-term performance and growth.

“Over the same period, Hostplus has grown to more than 1.9 million members and over $145 billion in funds under management. The national visibility delivered through our partnership with the Storm has played an important role in that journey, supporting member growth and strengthening our brand.

“We’re proud of what this partnership has achieved, and we’re looking forward to continuing that journey with the Storm as both organisations enter an exciting next chapter.”
