Melbourne Storm is excited to announce that captain and star hooker Harry Grant has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him in purple until the end of the 2028 season.

Already contracted for 2026, the two-time Dally M Hooker of the Year has signed a new deal with Storm, reaffirming his long-term commitment to the Club and its future.

Storm player #188, Grant made his debut for Melbourne in 2018 and has since played 105 games for the Club. He is also the starting hooker for Queensland and Australia, with 14 State of Origin appearances and 14 Tests for the Kangaroos.

Appointed Club Captain in 2024, the 27-year-old has since guided Storm to consecutive Grand Final appearances. He also captained the Australian Kangaroos in the Second Ashes Test in England, further cementing his status as one of the game’s premier leaders.

“It’s a great feeling to have my future confirmed until 2028. I feel incredibly privileged to captain this Club and wear the purple jersey in front of our members and fans every week,” Grant said.

"This Club has always been built on great people, and being at Storm, surrounded by them, brings out the best in me, both on and off the field.

“We have a great group of players, coaches and staff and a strong leadership team determined to push our Club to bigger things in 2026.”

Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski praised Grant’s leadership and ongoing commitment to the Club.

“Harry is not only one of the best players in the NRL, but also an outstanding leader and a tremendous ambassador for Melbourne Storm,” Rodski said.

“To have Harry commit to the Club until 2028 is a massive boost, not just for our playing group, but for our entire organisation and our passionate members and fans.

“His determination to keep improving, be a role model for our younger players, and lead Storm toward sustained success makes him the ideal person to drive our Club forward.

“We’re delighted Harry will remain in purple until at least 2028.”
